and

events at
Code Wars 2008
will be held through
online

Topics and online submission form are available on our website.
Following are the general guidelines for Digital Imaging and Web
Designing.
Note: Both
the events also have their own set of additional guidelines which are
available on their individual topic pages.
Common Guidelines for Online Submission Events in Code
Wars 2008
|
- Only one
entry per school will be allowed. In case there are more
than one entries, the school team liaison
will have to validate ONE of the multiple entries as the official one
from the school. In case the team liaison (as defined in the mandatory
online school registration form) is unreachable, the
organizers reserve the right to reject any or all entries from a school.
- There
is NO limit on the number of participants who can work on
your school's entry.
You can have as many participants as you want from your school to
create an entry; at the organizers end the submission will be
considered to be that of the school.
- You may
use ANY online / offline resources
that you find to create your school's entry. There will be NO penalties
during judging in case any external resources are used. However,
plagiarism will not be tolerated and it is up to the school to ensure
that it follows the licensing conditions set forth for any external
resources and / or media that they use.
- Entries need to be uploaded to our website using the online submission form
as prescribed by the organizers. Entries which are emailed / handed
over by any other means to the organizers will be rejected.
- Alternatively, your school may upload its entry to MediaFire (www.mediafire.com)
and specify the download
URL in the specific field given in our online submission form.
Entries uploaded to any other file hosting services will NOT be
allowed. Please not that usage of MediaFire's services are governed by
their own terms and conditions. The organizers shall not be responsible
in case they are unable to download an entry uploaded to MediaFire due
to circumstances beyond their control.
- Entries
need to be submitted latest by 2000 hours of 19th
November 2008. No entries will be accepted at the
registration desk on the day of Code
Wars 2008. Timestamp recorded by our server will be used
to determine
whether an entry was submitted within submission deadline. No other
sources for time of submission will be accepted.
- Schools
are requested
not to leave online entry submission till the very end of the deadline
period.
The organizers shall not be responsible in case your school is unable
to submit its entry because of excessive traffic on our website close
to the deadline period and / or any other technical problems.
- Entries need to be submitted in ZIP or RAR format
ONLY. Entries in any other format will be rejected. Constituents
of the ZIP / RAR file may be different according the individual event -
please check the additional guidelines listed under the event your
school wants to participate in.
- Maximum
filesize of the ZIP / RAR file containing your school's
entry should be no more than 7
MB.
However, just because a maximum filesize has been set does NOT mean
that your submission has to be that big. Filesize is NOT a factor which
will be considered during judging.
- Files MUST be named according to this format: Event
Name - School Name.zip or Event
Name - School Name.rar. For example, Digital
Imaging - DPS Vasant Kunj.zip. Any entry NOT following
this naming convention may be rejected.
- Schools and / or authors of an entry grant the
organizers and the
legal owner of the code-warriors.org domain a worldwide, non-exclusive,
royalty-free license to display, modify or use the entry in any manner
seen fit.
- The organizers shall not be held responsible in case
your school is
unable to submit its entry due to technical problems and / or any other
circumstances beyond our control. In
case you face technical problems while submitting an entry, please inform us about it
immediately OR call our technical contact Ankur
Banerjee at +91-9871604101.
- Decisions of the organizers regarding any school's
entry for Digital Imaging and Web Designing shall be final and binding on
the participating schools.
